Code that silently does the wrong thing

Framework internals can break error handling

Importing a framework's internal helpers can silently break its error handling: an instanceof check fails when the class comes from a second bundled copy, and every typed error becomes a 500.

01 · Before and afterThe pattern

TypeScript
// before: bypass the framework parser and borrow its internals
export const config = { api: { bodyParser: false } };
import { parseBody } from "framework/dist/internal/parse-body"; // different class identity
// after: let the framework parse, with a static limit it can read at build time
export const config = { api: { bodyParser: { sizeLimit: "25mb" } } };

02 · Run it on your appThe check

Do your webhook endpoints still return 400 for bad JSON and 413 for oversized bodies on a production build?

If the honest answer is no or not sure, this is worth a look before it reaches production.
